We’re a well-funded insurtech start-up, offering a unique platform approach to building innovation within the insurance world. We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our growing sales team.

Reporting to the Sales & Partnerships Director, you’ll be responsible for driving B2B sales of our insurance platform across a range of sectors. You’ll identify new business opportunities and work with potential customers to understand their requirements and challenges, propose the right Aventus solution for their needs, negotiate commercial deals, through to closing the sale.

Full product training will be provided. Your package will include a competitive salary and benefits, performance related bonus and car allowance.

You will…

  • build excellent working relationships
  • cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • understand the needs of potential customers and present appropriately to make a sale
  • present our products favourably and in a structured professional way, either face-to-face or remotely
  • negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
  • respond to incoming email and phone enquiries
  • gather market and customer information
  • challenge any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
  • create detailed proposal documents
  • negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with customers
  • record prospects and sales on Salesforce
  • represent the company at trade conferences and events
  • review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • provide input into product team, based on feedback from customers
  • attend team and company meetings

You have…

  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • strong commercial awareness
  • a positive, confident and determined approach
  • resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • a high degree of self-motivation and ambition
  • the skills to work both independently and as part of a team
  • the capability to flourish in a competitive environment
  • the ability to adapt and learn in a fast growing startup
  • a good level of numeracy
  • a full driving licence
  • some knowledge of the insurance industry is helpful, but not required
